سرطان الرئة.. الفحص المبكر ينقذ 90 % من المصابين

سرطان الرئة هو أحد أخطر السرطانات لسببين رئيسيين؛ أولهما، أن عدد الإصابات به كبير جداً عالمياً. والآخر أنه غالباً ما يُكتشف في مراحل متأخرة تجعل علاجه صعباً. وعلى الرغم من أن معدلات الإصابة في الخليج أقل من بعض الدول الغربية والاسيوية، فإن سرطان الرئة لايزال ضمن أكثر خمسة سرطانات شيوعاً في دول الخليج. وفي الكويت تحديداً، يحتل سرطان الرئة المرتبة الأولى بين أسباب الوفيات السرطانية خاصة بين الرجال، بينما يحتل في معدلات الإصابة السرطانية المرتبة الرابعة بين الرجال والسادسة بين النساء، استناداً إلى سجلات مركز الكويت للسرطان. ويرجع ذلك جزئياً إلى انتشار التدخين وبعض عوامل الخطورة البيئية في مجتمعنا. إقرأ المزيد
