The Kuwait Thoracic Society is pleased to invite its members for an e-Poster competition at the KTS 2026 at the Arraya Ballroom of the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.

Eligibility:

Only KTS Members can submit abstracts.

Times to remember:

Abstract submission deadline: Sunday, December 28, 2025
Poster submission deadline: Thursday, January 22, 2026

Guidelines for the Abstract submission:
  • Abstracts must be submitted via this website. Emailed abstracts will not be considered.
  • An abstract must accompany the application, and incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • All information must be set out in the following order: Title, Authors, Objectives, Method, Results (including Images, graphs, charts, infographics and likely a few bullet points or sentences), and Conclusions.
  • Abstracts should be sent in full text, with maximum of 500 words.
  • For abstracts to be submitted as PDF, the abstract paper should not exceed one A4 page.
Guidelines for Poster Format:
  • Once the abstract is accepted by the committee, the poster must be submitted until the deadline date.
  • The posters must be submitted as electronic documents in PDF format, as single piece on one A4 page. No paper poster shall be used in the conference hall. Only digital copies (PDF/JPG) will be accepted.
  • Poster orientation: Vertical / Portrait Format (like the usual paper poster)
  • The poster file format / extension should be .JPG or .PDF (preferably .PDF)
  • The poster file size should not exceed One (1) Giga Byte.
  • Poster Format: should include Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
  • Poster Images: (clips arts, graphs, diagrams and drawings) must be in high- resolution EPS format (300 dpi).
  • Poster title: Arial Black font with a font size of 30 and body text should be with a font size of 25 with single line spacing.
  • DO NOT use all UPPER-CASE Characters in your poster.
  • The final poster must cover exactly the same material as mentioned in the abstract. Any deviations of Abstracts must be submitted by email only.
  • All posters will be on display electronically for the duration of the conference.
  • For any withdrawals, the presenter should notify the organizer in writing by January 15, 2026.
  • Conference registration charges will be waived off for accepted poster presenters only (main author only)
  • Three top posters will be awarded a prize.
Guidelines for Abstract Presentation:
  • Accepted abstracts will be notified on or before Thursday, January 09, 2026.
  • Presenters will be allocated time slots to present their abstract to the judging panel on the first day of the conference.
  • Presentations will be strictly limited to 15 minutes (10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion).
Judging Criteria:

Submitted abstracts will be evaluated and all accepted posters will be entitled to present to the Judges during the Poster segment of the conference. The allotted time of presentation will be 10 minutes for Summary and 2-5 minutes for Q&A from the judges. Only submitting author will present and get a certificate. Those authors who cannot present in person will be able to connect with the Judges virtually at allotted time.
